How it started...

Built on Family. Proven by Decades of Work.

625 St Clair isn’t just a business name — it’s a family story.

It began over three decades ago in East Cleveland, where Tim and Rachel Hawkins were a young married couple doing whatever it took to make ends meet. They painted signs for small businesses up and down St. Clair Street, learning early that honest work, craftsmanship, and reputation mattered more than shortcuts.

They were married on June 25th — 6.25 — a date that would quietly become the foundation of everything that followed.

From One Home to an Entire Community

After relocating to the Bay Area, Tim and Rachel raised their three boys in Oakland. Nearly every weekend, their home was under renovation. While other kids played outside, the Hawkins boys learned tools, measurements, planning, and how to finish a project the right way. Neighbors noticed — and word spread.Small repairs turned into full renovations across San Jose, Sacramento, and beyond. What started as family necessity became a trusted, word-of-mouth service.

A Craft Passed Down

The youngest son took a special interest, growing up on job sites and learning that craftsmanship isn’t just about how something looks — but how it lasts.Years later, he unknowingly chose the same wedding date as his parents: June 25 (6.25). That shared date became a legacy — and the name behind the business.

Why 625 St Clair Exists

After decades of hands-on experience and community trust, the Hawkins family officially launched 625 St Clair Handyman & Remodeling — not because the work was new, but because it was time to make it official.Today, we bring together decades of experience, old-school customer service, clear communication, honest timelines, and the kind of care you only get from family.
